She Has No Name (Chinese: 《醬園弄·懸案》) is the upper part of the "Jiangyuan Lane" series, directed by Peter Chan. It underwent seven years of preparation, began filming in December 2023, and wrapped in March 2024. The screenplay is adapted from Jiang Feng’s mid‑length novella Reversal of the Case, based on the 1945 “Jiangyuan Lane husband‑killing” incident—one of the Republic of China’s “four great strange cases.” A full‑set of the alley “Jiangyuan Lane” was built on‑location in Zhapu Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai, restoring the 1940s‑era lane‑culture.
