The story begins in Hong Kong in 1993 with a series of shocking murder cases. Inspector Yang Guang Yao (played by Chen Wei Ting) unexpectedly travels through time while chasing a suspect and falls into 2018. Faced with the harsh reality of his wife and daughter's disappearance, he is arranged by former Commissioner Ye (played by Xie Jun Hao) to return to the police force under an undercover identity, but faces skepticism from his new partner Chen Kai Qing (played by Liu Ya Se) and colleague Zhang Tian Ming. As new types of murders exhibit characteristics of old cases, Guang Yao realizes that the killings across the two timelines are intricately connected. During the investigation, he must conceal his identity crisis while gradually uncovering the heart-wrenching truth about his daughter, who is near yet unrecognizable, and discovers the cruel fact that his wife, Pei Jie, has already been murdered. The key character played by Feng De Lun weaves through the dual timeline mystery, ultimately revealing a shocking conspiracy that spans generations.
