Set after the events of GATAO: Like Father Like Son, although “Michael” leaves Taiwan, his former power structure remains unbalanced, leaving northern triad factions unstable. Meanwhile, southern gang boss Scorpion mobilizes southern underworld forces through an urban redevelopment scheme to reorganize Gatao territories and expand a north–south alliance. Beneath the appearance of cooperation lies mutual scheming and hidden agendas.
The story centers on the interplay of the six major leaders within the so-called “Gatao Universe,” from strategizing at tea tables to armed confrontations on sea and land. Northern faction spiritual leader Guei‑dong takes a mediator role; Ah‑Biao assumes Michael’s territory and becomes critical in the balance of power and loyalty. Characters such as Scorpion, Nan Ba‑tian, and next‑generation gang figures compete with ambition and rivalry. The film emphasizes political maneuvering, large‑scale set design, and intense tension.
