Jiang Wen

Jiang Wen (born Jiang Xiaojun, 5 January 1963 – ), originally named Jiang Xiaojun, was born in Tangshan, Hebei Province. He is a graduate of the Acting Department at the Central Academy of Drama and holds the title of “National First‑Class Actor” in China, having served as a member of the 8th and 9th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). His entertainment career began in the 1980s: 1987: Won Best Actor at the 10th Hundred Flowers Awards for the film Hibiscus Town—solidifying his status in the film industry. 1989: Again won Best Actor at the 12th Hundred Flowers Awards for A women for two. 1994: Received Best Actor at the 12th China TV Golden Eagle Awards for the TV drama A Native of Beijing in New York. 1998: Won Best Supporting Actor at the 17th Hong Kong Film Awards for The Soong Sisters.
